di ko maintindihan why a mass promotion is more “humane”.
Eto na…
Ang naisip ko lang din yung mga graduating law students. Mapopostpone din ba grad nila? Mapopostpone din ba ang bar exams?
Malamang. Yung ibang licensure exams nag-postpone na indefinitely.
Di ko rin gets yung ‘most humane’.
Di ba practically pass naman na lahat nga–mass promotion din 'yun eh. Ang critical portion kasi nung guidelines is that the choice to drop and repeat a course will not cost the student 1 sem in the Maximum Residency. Hindi yung deferred grades. Yung deferred grades practically makes it fair for students who need time to repeat a course.
Nabigay din naman sa professors yung choice kung gusto nilang mag-cancel ng requirements and give a numerical grade. Tama ba pagkaka-gets ko?
Isn’t it democratic enough? At least nuanced yung decision?
Eto may gumawa ng alternative sa mass promotion. Of course moot na rin.
Oh well, balik sa pagtapos ng thesis
I’m a grad student. Hindi ko pa rin napro-proseso yung naging decision, but one of my profs said na i-email niya kami bukas to give advice.
ICYMI here is former chancellor Michael Tan’s position on this issue:
The All UP Academic Employees Union also published a statement here FYR.
Life goes on I guess
May update, magbubukas ulit ang 2nd sem, from May 1-June 16. Only for those who wish to completed their requirements and for graduating students. Graduation is scheduled on July 26.
Nakita ko yung academic calendar for next school year. So walang adjustment sa schedule. Sana by that time, safe na talaga.
May proposed adjustment pero di pa approved.
Waiting for that. Would you know when will it be tackled?
May update na sa bagong academic calendar?
