Iskos in the USA

I am not sure if there’s a centralized alumni association here aside from the SF Bay Area pero sa mga nasa East Coast, meron po ba?

Meron UPAA for the entire USA. Hanapin ko email nila kasi di ko sila pinapansin nung nasa US ako.

Residing right now in Meridian, Idaho.

Please do! I was supposed to meet one of them before in Chicago kaso salisi ng schedule.

As soon as this pandemic is over, fam and I are going home there na.

Taga CA Central Valley naman ako.

Where in Central Valley? Are you close to the Sacramento area? Andaming pinoy dito.

Correction: SAN JOAQUIN Valley. Bakersfield ako. I always thought of here as Central kasi gitna ng CA. Sacramento is NorCal na eh.

May kilala akong tig midwest sa Peyups.

Not yet a member though kasi parang oldies ang mga member tsaka mukhang puro formalities. I like the casual and relaxed vibe of Peyups peeps. EB Naman dyan kahit SFO area.

Lived in Vacaville at Fairfield area. Eventually babalik din kami ng US permanently after this assignment so maglurk din ako dito :embarasslaff:

Seattle area here moving to Sunnyvale soon

Ako ba yun? I’m still here in Illinois.

We will be moving to L.A. next month. Hubby got a job there. So driving from Midwest to West Coast kami.

@bestwithN I remember you from old Peyups. I’m glad you’re living your best life and not alone anymore :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: How do you feel about moving to West Coast (I’m a California girl at heart so would love to semi-retire there in 5 yrs).

My parents have lived in L.A. for 15 years now, so nung nasa Philippines pa ako nagmemed, I was always visiting them. Malapit sila sa Walk of Fame (Hollywood Highland). So every time I visit, nilalakad ko lang yun, pasyal pasyal hehe. Dito kami sa Illinois since 2015 when my hubby was assigned here. But I hate the cold! But my kids love the snow. Can’t wait to go back to sunny CA! Super excited. I think I’m a Californian at :heartpump:. Are you in the Philippines now? Hope you can settle in CA too para may makaEB naman akong taga Peyups (besides Mimi and Karl). It’s just now that I realized hindi ako masyadong nakapagEB dati. Inggit ako sa POTD throwback pics.

Wala pa akong napupuntahan na official EB :see_no_evil: Simula pa naman kasi ng old Peyups nasa US na ako. We just moved to UK recently due to a temp job assignment pero eventually diyan din kami magsesettle down (somewhere US pero who knows where life would take us). One thing’s for sure though we won’t retire in a place with brutal winters kaya Midwest and Upper East Coast will be a No for me

SoCal Long Beach resident and don’t see myself moving elsewhere.
I love LA and proud to be in CA.
Lalo sa time ng COVID, I’m glad I lived here and not in NY or NJ where most of my family resides.

Just let me know kung balik ka sa U.S. (west coast na), so we can meet!

Sabihan nyo ko pag EB. Lapit lang ako sa LA

Same here! I’m just 1.45 hrs from LA, and we have family there, so pagkatapos nito we’ll probably be in LA at least 2x a month.

@bestwithN, don’t worry about the snow, marami pa rin kayong mapupuntahan sa CA na areas na may snow. Sequioa National Park pa lang, solb na. We went there last December, we loved it so much, gusto namin bumalik this year if circumstances allow.
