Kaway kaway sa mga kulang na lang ay makarinig ng “Welcome to Uniqlo” pagbukas ng closet I can’t be the only one, right? (at least there was a time na ganun, have since diversified but I’ll always have a soft spot for them. )
Mostly get them because I’m lazy and I like that they don’t have big-ass logos. Also, their athleisure stuff is great (Dry EX). Heard great things about their Heattech line though never needed them (puro summer foreign travel ko so far ).
i also like it na may pang tropical at pang winter sila. Yung ultra light down jacket, very convenient na pang carry on. Hindi flashy. More on neutral, safe colors. Comfy fit. At pag sale, ramdam naman din ang discount.
been wearing Uniqlo stuff since 2003 when I was a student in Japan. Back then it was considered a “cheap” clothing store in Japan. It only sold simple, plain, non-printed, no frills shirts, shorts, pajamas, jackets, pants and underwear. Back then quality was also top-notch, I had a plain shirt from 2006 that while faded, had no tears and the sewed seams are still intact. Nowadays, their products barely (especially socks) last 6 months.
Incidentally, that shirt had a funny story. I was a grad student back in 2006, and Japanese summers are ridiculously hot and humid. So parang UP din na hindi ganun ka-strict ang university when it comes to what you wear to class. I came in wearing a plain collarless shirt, cargo shorts and flip flops. Except the latter. all from UniQlo including boxers. It turns out the professor was also wearing the same shirt. LOL!
Ang gusto ko sa Uniqlo, sakto yung length ng mga damit nila sa akin (or sa mga Pilipino). Pag sa H&M kasi or sa Cotton On, sakto yung fit pero mahaba naman.
Since I discovered it when I was living in KL, almost half ng closet ko ay Uniqlo–from casual shirts, to tops (panalo yung drape blouses nila) to undershirts.
Too bad nga lang na wala akong size dito sa Manila–kailangan ko syang iorder mula Malaysia.
One time, bumibili ako ng damit sa Uniqlo, sabi noong crew, “May ibang color pa kami niyang suot mo, Ma’am.” And I realized, Uniqlo pala suot ko – top and bottom.
Since medyo high-end at nagmahal nq ang UniQlo, they have a low-end brand called GU. And a lifestyle brand, selling soaps, airfresheners, luggage, toothbrushes, etc called MUGI.
