I find ‘The Artidote’ posts unsettling. Also so many posts, notes, quotes by other similar fb pages. Pakiramdam ko they’re all noise. Tsaka, andaming nagsishare ng kung ano ano. Maka-relate lang share na agad. Wala nang thought processes.

One might argue that many fandoms, not just those for KDrama / KPop, are like this. Just look at the hate Star Wars / JJAbrams is getting from fans. KathNiel as well, nung pinupog ng DDS yung love team for speaking out against the ABS-CBN shutdown (although at least ito may positive end).

Limiting the right to suffrage to taxpayers is a stupid idea when not enough has been done to ensure that every potential voter is given equal access to quality education to equip EACH citizen with the means to sustain gainful employment (or start an enterprise to then pay taxes) and consequently think critically and analytically and even qualify to run for public office…
Also, simplifying complex issues and communicating them in layman’s terms contributes to the dumbing down of the general public…not enough efforts and investment are made to uplift a layman’s capacity to understand complex issues and distinguish them from simple issues which only causes the vicious cycle we have of uncritical (or worse apathetic) voters and unchecked abusive people in positions of authority
In short, we set the bar / standards lower and lower until we suffer graver and irreversible consequences…

The criminal abortion laws in the Philippines are doing more harm than good. Abortion should be legalized, state-funded, and the church should stay out of the conversation completely.
