Ito hindi food pero nakita ko sa South Supermarket ang local version ng Brita, a Filipino invention that uses coconut to filter tap water into alkaline water. :ok_hand:

The brand is Tupuro, and it comes in two variants, pitcher at faucet connector. I bought the pitcher-type at P785 only!

Naghanap ako ng water filter sa grocery dahil ayaw na magdeliver ng water refilling stations sa area namin since ECQ started. So glad I found this! I’ve been using this for almost twoweeks now, and effective siya kasi never sumakit tiyan ko since I started using it.

I’m not connected with the company but gusto kon lang ishare dito kasi (1) Filipino invention using indigenous materials ito, (2) super mura kumpara sa popular brands like Brita, at it reminds me of the pitcher we used when making ice candy as a kid. :rofl:

+1 sa Aguila Sausages. I used to buy their Hungarian sausages at Robinsons Supermarket. Pag tamad magluto, sausage plus curry cubes and potatoes lang.

Aguila is the shizz! Pati mga longganiza at corned beef nila masarap! Feeling gourmet pa ako lagi kapag yan binibili ko.

SKL na nakakita na ako Elar’s Canned Lechon sa Robinson’s.

This is, by far, my best ECQ food discovery.

Grabe. Ansarap. Gusto ko umakyat ng bundok tapos magluto ng kanin at mag-ulam ng Elar’s - ganung level ng sarap :yummy:

Hindi sya bagong produkto pero ngayong ECQ ko lang napagtuunan ng pansin : Glutinous rice flour

Ang daming pwedeng gawin - palitaw, buchi, ginatang bilo bilo, carioca…
at speaking of gata, OK ang Coco Mama

Nakita ko rin 'to dati pero baka kasi weird yung lasa kasi canned yung lechon! Next time na makita ko 'to sa grocery kukuha na ako.

Sarap daw niyan sabi ng anak ko when I bought sa Waltermart some of the variants na alam kong similar sa mga ramen houses around. Dahil aprub sa kanila, I bought all the variants next na bili ko. This ECQ, wala yan sa Shopwise or Merkado though so no more supply kami.

Medyo kakaiba discovery ko. With the ecq, scary na bumili ng gulay sa palengke. I recently found out that you can buy fresh produce along CP Garcia malapit sa dating stud farm. Di mo na kailangan bumaba ng kotse, sila na lalapit sayo.

So far, no new discoveries as I have always stayed true to those I have tried and tested before. Pag wala sila, next time na lang.

Pero, I am itching to grab yong ready to cook Jollibee Marinated Chicken. Di ko pa lang magawa kasi baka madisappoint ako.

SKL, kung ang 7-11, Family Mart, Lawson, etc mostly 8-5 stores lang during ECQ, ang All-Day, 24 hours pa rin. But, oh boy! The Villars’ probably source their eggs far, far away. Their itsy bitsy tiny eggs cost PhP 14 a piece.

I also use the FB based businesses na pabili like Pahango for groceries and My Gulay Project for our palengke staples.

Dito sa amin sa CA, Nongshim Tempura Udon. Napabili tuloy ako ng isang dosena. Malayo kasi ang Filipino grocery, pang “special occasions” na lang yung natitira naming Lucky Me. Hahaha.

Sarap ng noodles na yan! May kamahalan sa amin pero worth the price. Nilaglagyan ko lagi ng bokchoy and mushrooms. Niluluto ko din the whole pack kasi may bulinggit ako laging ka-share eh.

Pwede din sya ihalo sa breading ng fried chicken para mala-Bonchon ang texture. :aprub:

Hindi pako nag-grocery run ulit pero may white wine na PHP 169 lang ang isa. Pinatos ko na’t bumili ng isang dosena; liquor ban samin eh. :embarasslaff:
