Mindfulness / Meditation

From greatergood:

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.

How do you practice it?

Personally I prefer movement meditation through yoga and improv. I tried meditation (breathing, body scan etc) but I fall asleep.

Yoga. I go to Urban Ashram (before ecq). Me-time. I travel solo, do and Iearn new things on my own, meditate. Fasting too. I’ve done 10-day fasts and I feel it does not only clean my system, but my mind as well. :winking:

I tried breathing din. I still try to do it pag magulo.isip.ko.

Meditation has been a big help for me this ECQ time. Dami ko naiisip at kailangan ko ng alone time para i-acknowledge thoughts ko. Otherwise mababaliw ako. Haha

I recommend Sarah Salcedo-Rubin’s daily meditation at 1pm. Check her FB page. Also, my personal fave teacher, Tonette Asprer. Check White Space FB. Try the Sound Healing every Monday 8pm.

Yoga. Urban Ashram is really good. Well-thought ang poses and the sequences.

Omg I go to Urban Ashram, too! Though this year, more on Yoga Plus na since ang hassle na magpark sa Urban, whereas Podium kaya lakarin.

urban ashram, too! high yield sessions palagi.

on mindfulness, i try to observe it in every aspect of living. conscious, intentional and deliberate consumption of time and resources e.g. dietary choices, social interactions, even my eating pace has significantly slowed down

so glad that our company rolled out online mindfulness courses during the ECQ.

Download mindfulness app. So mindful breathing. I try mindful drinking of tea. Yun talaga ang nakakapagpakalma sa akin these days.

Daily morning affirmations and loving kindness mediation or mindfulness meditation. Sometimes yoga asanas and a long savasana. I also do reiki self-healing.
