Sugar and milk will break your fast. Kung ayaw mo ng coffee na black lang, try tea or yun apple cider vinegar. Heto yun complete list :wink:

Matagal ko na gusto i-try to, though mahina ang willpower ko. Saka may medications kasi ako for diabetes, so di pwedeng basta-basta na lang mag-experiment. But commenting to hear more about this topic. :slight_smile:

I’m trying to stay within 1, 200 calories during the 8-hour window. Minsan lumalagpas ako sa 1, 200. Basta within the week, dapat di ako lumagpas sa 8, 400 calories. I just weighed-in. Nasa 58.8 kgs. Too early to say kung nag-lose na nga ako. Excited to reach the 30-day mark and see the result of a month long IF.

What side effects of IF did you experience? Me, I am having loose bowels 2-3 after I break my fast. I experienced this three days in a row already. Is this normal? Fast Google says it is expected because the digestive enzymes are acting upon the food intake after a long fast. It bothers me though. :confused:

Sa akin hilo, light headedness nung first few weeks kasi sanay talaga ako mag-almusal. Baka nabibigla lang tiyan mo kasi di sanay. Any diet adjustment talaga affected and digestion (kahit keto - jusko malala yung sakin LOL). Ano bang kinakain mo para mabreak ang fasting?

Vaguely remember this but I’m also lactose intolerant so I’m not sure anymore. All I remember is it went away after a time.

@BeachPatrol Hamburger and Egg, and Milk. @itachi Hindi din naman ako lactose intolerant.

So I blame it on IF. I am okay though because I am way less feeling bloated than before and that’s a good thing.

Kailangan siguro gentle din dapat initial food intake mo. Parang warm-up muna. Like warm water or soup.

Ako constipation minsan. Kaya I’m planning on taking fiber supplement. So far ayos lang ako. Siguro dahil minsan nagpa-fast na ako pero di lang strict like now.

@itachi @cloud_pillow dito ko na itatanong, meron bang IF na less than 16:8. If yes, na-try niyo at effective din ba? Like 13:11? IMO, mas madali ang IF ngayong ECQ. Pero paano kapag may pasok na ulit? Ang hirap magcommute ng walang kain.

I’ve tried the 13:11 fast but it wasn’t as effective for me so I switched back to 16:8. I’ve read that women may not have to fast as long to achieve the same effects though, so you might want to start with 13:11 first. That should be more manageable.

Yung important ay you fast for at least 13 hours (on average) so that your body will enter ketosis (fat burning stage). So you can have a 14:10 fast or some other ratio as long as at least 13 hours fasting time mo :laughing: (somebody correct if I understood it wrong). Added a reference in case you want to read more on the physiology of fasting :slight_smile:

You might also want to check the other types of fasts in case IF is not for you

Ngayon lang din talaga ako nagtry ng IF. Yung ginagawa ko dati na IF, nagkakataon lang. Last meal 8pm tapos kasi yung trabaho ko lunch na talaga kain ko. Parang nasanay na lang ako.

Baka yung 5:2? 5 days regular na kain, wala atang restrictions sa oras, pero yung 2 days mo 500-600 calories lang.

I’ll try 13:11. I usually work late at night so I drink coffee as energy booster. I don’t like my coffee black so it’s loaded with milk and sugar.

Good luck! I’d recommend an app but you really just need to pick a feeding window and stick with it :laugh: Our body likes routines. :smiley: Dagdag overhead pa ang app eh. Heh.

I’m having coffee now. Putting some cinnamon powder to it. Okay lang naman yun di ba? Dapat di na ako nagkakape ngayon baka di ako makatulog but I gave in. :lol:

Hindi na ako consistent sa 16:8 ngayon but my fasting time still hovers at around 15-17 hours so puwede na din.

Parang mas effort ito. Haha. Have you tried it?
