I took up German 10 on my last sem in UP. Nabitin ako. Present tense lang kasi ang German 10.

We were discussing about ordering food. Our prof showed us a menu from Pizza Hut. Di na kami nakapag focus sa lesson since we were converting the prices in Pesos! :joy:

Japanese! Useful siya pag nasa Japan pero siyempre, I need to level up.

Learning Japanese din was helpful when I started studying Mandarin kasi marami-raming similar words, pronunciation, grammar, pati writing (Kanji).

Took six cycles of Spanish sa DEL a couple of years back. Naisip ko lang yun at that time dahil (1) wala akong magawa pag weekends at (2) brain exercise at feeling ko ‘madali’ lang ang Spanish.

Walang relate ang undergrad ko sa foreign language but since napunta ako sa export technical sales and marketing, narealize ko ang laking advantage ng EL.

Given the chance, seseryosohin ko pa mag Spanish. Paging @kikayqueen

Hola @Skela96c!

I took Instik 10 & 11. I passed with good marks but now I do not remember anything! On second thought, I should’ve studied a European language. It’s easier since I don’t have to memorize another way of writing. Oh well, I was young and obsessed with F4 at that time so I studied Mandarin. :embarasslaff:

Enjoyed them all!

Niponggo (Jap 10/11, Balmeo sensei)
Francais (French 10/11, Mlle Ventanilla)
Deutsch (German 10/11, wow I forgot my teacher’s name na)

Nag-extend ako ng isang sem para magdagdag ng FL electives. Sobra ako ng 9 units lol. Don’t remember much anymore but I do the odd course sometimes just for fun. So far removed from maths and sciences kaya welcome break para sa isip.

Japanese pa rin! Mary Jane-sensei for both 10 and 11. Pinangarap ko sa buhay na mag-aral ng advanced Japanese kay Katagiri-sensei, pero when I had my classes with Mary Jane-sensei, I found out na may stage fright ako magconverse in Japanese. :embarasslaff: Saka by the time na nakalipat na ako sa actual course ko, wala pala kami language elective.

Pero di nasayang naman yung mga basic na natutunan ko. Medyo nagdecline na nga lang kasi walang practice.

Also, attempted to study Hindi, kaso bago pa man nagsimula, nadissolve si class.

Wala akong language elective nung college. If I did I’d probably take Bahasa dahil madali lang, at French.

Kumuha ako sa UP ng Spanish, then Japanese, then Mandarin!
