Natatawa pa rin ako pag nakikita ko thread title nito…Cannot (yet) un-see the “pink na pink na a-hole”.
OnT: I look young for my age daw e.g. 5-10 years younger ang laging hula. Last victims were work colleagues on one mission to Tashkent; sabi ng team leader ko (Irish) “yeah I look old”.
One time nasa mall gutom na gutom na kami ni le spouse at ang magdedecide kung saan kakain ay si panganay. I was suggesting Nonna’s kasi yun na yung malapit.
Panganay: You know I don’t like eating pasta.
Ako (malapit na hangry mode): Anong hindi?! Kumakain ka naman ng pasta sa bahay ah!
Panganay: But you make really good pasta, Mom. The others don’t compare.
Le spouse: Uuy… di na siya hangry!
I think a lot of us look younger than our age. It’s the Asian genes daw, sabi ng mga caucasian friends ko. A lot of them are only in their late 20’s or early 30’s, pero mas mukha pang matanda sa akin. So sanay na rin akong nagugulat sila na I’m almost 40 na.
One of the greatest compliments I got as a mom, is from my own mom (and dad), who say I’m doing a great job in raising my kids. Also, when I cook something that my boys loved, and they tell me I’m the best cook.
As a wife, my hubby told me before I cook the best laing, at laging masarap luto ko kaya ang hirap pumayat.
On being a doctor sa Phils, one of the most unforgettable compliments I got was the time I was assisting during an appendectomy and the senior surgeon told me I’ve got good wrist motion. I loved doing surgery, it gives me a high. So nung sinabi nya yun sobrang naflatter ako. Medyo crush ko rin pala yun kaya may kasamang kilig din.
