Intermittent fasting thread

Good morning! New week, new attempt. Naka 16:8 ulit ako starting today.

Yung minsang gutom feeling, uhaw lang pala :sweat_smile:

Interesting. So, nagbabasa-basa ako at may art of intermittent fasting pala. Akala ko gugutumin ko lang sarili ko, ganyan. So, what I do apparently is the 16:8 method. No breakfast and lunch.

Highly recommend the 16:8 method for newbies to IF. Nakakatulong sobra yung mga IF na apps na inoorasan yung oras mo para kumain. Pero tip ko lang din sa mga gumagamit ng app, at some point I advise din na eventually you move away from using the app to the point na kabisado mo na yung tamang oras ng pagkain. Nakatulong yun sa akin di magsawa one year into my IF journey.

I’ve also read that for women, recommended daw ay 13:11?will post the reference as soon as I find it. Something to do with how their metabolism is different from men.

Oo nga eh. May time kasi na namemeet ko yung time requirements. Pero nagdidrift naman fasting schedule ko. It was not fun. As with sleep, mas importante ang consistency. Apparently our body likes routines very much. :joy:

I read about that too. It can mess up women’s reproductive health if done longer.

I fast for 16 hours. 2-3 hours before eating, I work out. Cardio, weightlifting, and stuffs.

Strict fast ba ito or pwede may flavored fluid like fruit juice during fast? Trying the 16-8.

Anything with sugar will break your fast, unfortunately.

I skip breakfast and just have lunch and early dinner. Coupled with cardio during ECQ, lumuwag ang damit ko and parang lumiit ang tiyan ko.

When I fast, I only drink water :slight_smile: Anything that will increase blood sugar defeats the purpose.

How about tea or black coffee during fast? Okay lang ba yun?

tinry ko dati yung 13:11, di sya effective sa kin. madalas akong iritable at hangry na naiinis ako pati sa sarili ko. then i gained weight pa during IF. tinigil ko na lang at naghanap ng mas effective na diet for my body. :+1:

Diba scary ang keto? Parang tataas nang grabe ang blood cholesterol levels mo and everything. :scream_cat:

By the way, lost about four kilos since the quarantine started about a month ago. Sana hindi siya muscle mass. Twice a day na lang kasi kami kumakain ngayon. Hindi regular pero parang rolling 16:8 na siya :laugh: Only hope it’s not muscle mass I lost. Need to exercise din.

It’s not recommended if you have heart disease and diabetes.

For me nagwork siya pero hindi lang sustainable. Mas okay pa sakin ang IF plus low carb.

Trying the 16:8 IF. 10 days na pero napansin ko na kain ako ng kain during the 8-hour period. Last week nasa 58.5-59.5 na ako. For the past 3 days nasa 59.5-61. Gaano katagal para makita ang results. :lol:

Ang impatient ko about seeing results. Pero kaya ko naman yung 16-hour fast.

Usually a month may result na. Malaking factor rin ang quality ng food, baka nakakabloat or masyadong maraming calories :grin:

Okay. Calories in check naman. Baka normal body fluctuations lang. Haha. Sige sige, update ulet ako after 20 days. :lol:

Inaraw araw ko nalang. Ang importante ay maging part siya ng routine mo. Lost about 9 kilos from Jan to Oct 2018. Nagain ko ulit most of it over the Christmas break though :laugh:
