Going on a lone road trip to Bicol next week so bought some nutribars, adobo peanuts and water. In case there are no foodstalls along the way. I also heard they sometimes seal the car doors as yiu are not allowed to go down until you reach your destination.

@Marikitpikit Nagsearch ako sa Google ng “Crackettes”, lumabas naman yung pic. Sayang wala na sya noh? May ibang snacks nung 90’s na hindi ko maalala yung name, tapos hindi ko na rin makita sa Google. Like yung ice cream na iba’t ibang colors at shapes. Hindi ko alam kung Magnolia o Nestle ba yun. Parang may banana shape pa. Baka special edition lang kaya hindi nagtagal.
Bigla ko lang din namiss yung mga mani na tinitinda sa atin na nakalagay sa brown wrapper. Ok nga yun for bus trips. Gusto ko yung walang balat. Iba yung pagkaluto sa Pinas eh. Pero may nabili kami ngayong nuts sa isang Armenian store, parang ganun na rin ang lasa. Tapos kasuy naman, naaalala ko pag pumupunta kami sa Antipolo Church, bumibili kami nun.

Yung mani na nasa brown paper. May nahanap kame sa smart & final, Spanish peanuts ang name. Nasa container. Ready to eat. Ganun na ganun. May balat. Not only. Ikaw na lang magdagdag ng salt.
Iba ang sarap at alat ng foods sa Pinas. May msg kasi.
Yung ice cream naman, parang May faint memory ako nung banana shaped. Di ko na rin maalala pero ang sarap ng mga snacks noon diba.

Kami din pag road trips to Bicol, junk food galore. Standard ang Piknik, Pringles, Doritos, Granny Goose, Clover, Lay’s, Boy Bawang, Nagaraya at sweets din, Jelly Ace at Mallows!
Though the most we look forward to is eating breakfast in Mcdo SLEX (hashbrowns and pancakes with lots of butter and syrup), then Starbucks coffee for hunby, or pag ako driver, Cha Time. Next stop would either be Jollibee or Lolo Ompo for sinigang na hipon at ice cream then finally sa Biggs in Naga. May kaharap na masarap na pili store yun kaya we buy our pili loot for pasalubong and snacks.

Masaraap ba sa Lolo Ompo? Sa Dafs kasi kami kumakain. masarap nga yung Biggs, lalo yung burgers. Though yung pinsan ko from the US tawag niya Smalls daw, naliliitan kasi sa portions, pero masarap daw.

I don’t like eating in the car (yes, KJ) but i always look forward to the coffee stops. Starbucks sa nlex, lalo kapag kami ng nanay ko, hati kami sa coffee press, tapos chikahan.
Generally, chips (cheese or spicy flavored), cookies (Oreos ftw!), chocolates and water. Mayroon akong hard candies kasi hiluhin ako. Tapos pag roadtrip going to Batangas, tumitigil kami dun sa isang plaza where a Starbucks is. I get a white chocolate mocha.
Although for some strange reason, nagiging narcoleptic ako during trips these days, kaya walang silbi ang chicha,
