The Power of Gratitude

Psychologists say that one way to lift your down spirit is to write down daily three things that you are grateful for.

So today I am grateful for:

  1. Haring araw. Ang sarap maarawan.
  2. Sa chat ng pinsan ko at kaibigan ko about random stuff.
  3. Sa mga andito sa peyups na very encouraging and supportive during this lockdown.

  1. Self-validation because I feel anxious about gaining weight and it affects my self-esteem lately.

I’ll share again my ‘things I am grateful for’ at the end of the day.

Today, I’m grateful for:

  • the air I breathe, the heat of the sun, the seemingly endless supply of water

  • the comfort of our home

  • my good health and of those around me

  • the ability to laugh and send good wishes to others

  • the ability to see good despite the current situation

  • my friends who are always making me laugh despite not meaning to :laughing:

  • our dogs who are always next to me. i know now how it feels to have bodyguards. it’s not too comfy especially when I am eating. :embarasslaff:

i can’t stop, so bukas na lang ulet. :jumping:

  2. Finally figured the right way to make my green tea (water at 72 to 80°C, not boiling; steeped for less than 3 mins). Peace and tea, post-dinner.

  1. Nakipag-trade ng pagkain sa friend ko through Grab delivery. She sent me kaldereta and lasagna. I sent her dinuguan.
