Muji

Inspired by the Uniqlo thread, here’s another Japanese brand. I got a bunch of stuff from Muji, especially pens and some other odds and ends. Isa sa mga travel bags ko is a sling bag from them for our passports and wallets.

Like mo ba Muji? Justifiable ba presyo for you? If you like them, ano mga recommendation mo?

Medyo mahal pero sulit naman kase matibay and I like their designs’ minimalist approach. I also have their stapler, eraser, pen cases, calculator, desk calendar. Meron din akong white dipper and basin. Surprisingly, okay rin yung fit ng long sleeves nila, I think I bought 2. Latest purchase ko from Muji was their lavender essential oil. Nakakarelax sobra.

:aprub:

I don’t own anything Muji, ang mahal

But this store is very special to my heart. My first days working in Singapore, tumatambay ako sa Muji (Plaza Singapura) para mag-window shopping… and it gives me a sense of comfort, big thanks to their essential oil display. They also have Muji Cafe at that branch.

I remember mga 2012 or 2013 ata ako nagstart sa Muji. I would send my sisters a set of pens when I send their care packs. And the pen and stationery collection spiraled from there.

I love the minimalist aesthetic ng Muji. Quality-wise, they’re good. One of the best purchases I had that I unfortunately lost was a pair of black flats. They were one of the most comfy flats I had for work and travel.

One trip to Taipei, hubby pointed out my penchant for Muji kasi pati snacks pa naman daw pinapatos ko.

They also did a collab with 7-11 in Taipei. Dunno what it was but it was hubby who sent this photo to me while he was on a solo work trip.

Nung single pa ako, I close my eyes when my card gets swiped. Now, I anticipate my hubby would send a message (we have a family card set up for mobile payments using his card) asking why may expensive na purchase. :embarasslaff:

I think ang splurge namin dito would be the essential oils.

May kamahalan nga, but I like their colored pens. I’ve bought and used a few. Lalo na ‘yung magkabilaan. :aprub:

I only buy there for quick gifting requirements.

I love Muji pens so hindi ako nauubusan. Iyan ang binibili ko sa Muji Philippines. But I always buy all sorts of stuff when I go to Muji overseas kasi nga mas mura and mas extensive ang selection. I think high quality ang materials na gamit nila (like most other Japanese brands). And every time I enter their stores, the clean, minimalist design makes me feel so zen. Hehe.

Tapos unlike most gel pens I’ve used, hindi siya nagkakalat pag sinasama sa eroplano.20200501_150532

Never got around to going to their stores. Mapuntahan nga once the quarantine is lifted

I like visiting the shop kasi di overwhelming gaya ng iba. I only buy their pens and notebooks kasi yun lang afford ko :hahaha: I like their clothes, but I feel OA sa presyo.

I love Muji! Ang mahal nya so I rarely buy anything from them. But I do have their cotton gauze blanket, the air humidifier, a bunch of their essential oils.
I go to their store when I’m feeling sad or stressed. Smelling the essential oils, hearing the Muji music, touching their fabric eases my stress.
Last December, we stayed at the newly opened Muji hotel at Ginza in Tokyo. It’s a Muji lover’s dream. The room smells like wood the moment you enter, everything is Muji, shempre. Every night they leave Muji snacks in the room. In the morning, we go down to the Muji cafe for breakfast, or we grab some pastries and eat in the room. I badly needed to recharge, and I felt a lot better after the trip.
