InstaPay. I remit money to my BPI account then use InstaPay to transfer money to other banks. It’s more convenient than separately remitting to different banks. Service fee of Php50 is waived until April 30.
From the US - I like Xoom. Kasi puwede straight to your PH bank account. I also like their vetting process (IDs etc) ma strict. Maayos ang controls
Saka ambilis, kahit hindi banking hours, na c credit agad sa bank account.
SKL na nag canvass ako ng exchange rate ng mga money transfers, and the best pa rin to send in USD, even with the expensive wire fee (USD50) (well depende rin sa volume, but based on my volume at that time ito)
TransferWise so far is the most straightforward (for me, at least).
If one has privacy preferences, maybe they can explore crypto currency. It’s secure. Volatile nga lang ang value ng pera…
InstaPay service fee is waived until May 15 na
Taas pala ng fees sa BPI. PhP25 lang siya sa Landbank. May PESONet din pala. PhP15 naman but it’s not real time. Wala siyang transaction limits though.
now ko lang na encounter instapay, na curious tuloy ako lalo
that new service from BPI & Palawan will disrupt the remittance world again, kahit dami pa ring glitches. hula ko it wasn’t supposed to be launched yet (still required more tests) but because of the lockdown napilitan na sila.
as an industry mukhang makakaranas ng slowdown ang International padala, sa dami ng nawalan ng work abroad.
I use Xoom kasi may actual vetting process unlike Western Union na kasangkapan ng scammers and money launderers
BPI to Palawan Express is useful para sa may mga kasambahay na galing probinsya with limited access to banks and ATMs. Pwedeng ipa diretso na yung part ng sweldo, so hindi na rin kailangan pumila sa PE branch, less exposure na rin sa virus.
Ooh this is true. I worked a few years for WU sa operations side at totoong andaming scammers - lalo na in the PH, but the bulk of complaints come from Europe, UK to be specific . Marami nang in-implement na KYC at due diligence processes, pero downside dito napakarami ring transfers na napu-put on hold (or refunded for god knows how many business days) kahit na legit yung sender-receiver relationship at reason for sending At mababa rin palit ng WU at mahal ang fees
Ripple’s XRP is the recommended cryptocurrency for sending remittances. Faster processing time and confirmations are done by Ripple network, a consortium of financial institutions, so it’s safer.
Remitly. Catchy commercial pa
Instapay /Pesonet are actually low-value wires, I think not really a BPI product, meron din ibang banks. kinda like ACH in the US. For the longest time kasi mahal ang wires sa Pinas (mga P500 a pop), and sa Pinas lang walang murang wire. Buti lumabas yang Instapay/ Pesonet.
+1 Remitly rin ang gamit ko pag nagpapadala sa Pinas. derecho BPI or Metrobank, or pag kelangan mabilisan like dahil sa covid-19 crisis, sa Palawan din, kasi not all towns have working ATM. na-amaze ako nung first time ko mag-express, kasi seconds lang after tapping confirm, ready for pickup agad.
Transferwise ang gamit ko from EU to Pinas. So far, so good.
iRemit for overseas
instaPay for local
DBS Remit.
True. Dami ring African scammers.
Come to think of it, prone nga mga non-bank money transfers sa mga ganitong shady transactions, kahit may KYC na and all
Received an email from BDO saying that InstaPay fees would be waived until June 15.
